Hack the planet

Ok maybe not the planet, maybe just a TiVo...

The insides look like this:

And for a random image... a picture of a puzzle that I have on the wall.

The TiVo process is at lik 5% (been running for a little while) so it most likely won't be done till very late. That's what I get for letting the wife fill up the whole drive with Twilight Zone reruns.

So what are you doing with the TiVo? Upgrading the hard drive? And I'm guessing putting that picture up pretty much assured a voided warranty. :-)

And nice Phoenix image.

A) How do you know it's ~my~ TiVo?
B) Yes it would be a 40Gig to 160 Gig upgrade.
C) There's a warranty?

I've done this once before, and if things go really really wrong, then I can put the old drives in and reset/reload all the software, etc. I'm just methodical and careful, and the version is one of the easiest upgrades out there. If you want help let me know. (When does your warranty expire? We could upgrade yours then, right?)

Thanks, I liked the picture on the box, although it was a little harder than I had originally suspected to put together. All that "blackness" got confusing, even with the blacklight help. (Oh yeah, it glows in the dark too!)

I upgraded my TiVo from a 40 Gig to 135 Gig a long time ago. But I think the current drive is dying, so I probably need to go through the procedure again.

well I've got the current set of tools (assuming you have the right version of the hardware that matches it) and also the guide. Just lemme know. But since you've done it before, you remember how easy it is.
